About bwphotopro
The online magazine for black-and-white photography
Our so-called Mission Statement:
Good B&W photography is, generally speaking, more interesting than color. B&W is mysterious, intruiging and just very cool. And B&W is not just for super-serious photographers. At bwphotopro, we’re about sharing great B&W and about having fun with photography.
B&W photography is timelessly and effortlessly cool, and great fun.
At bwphotopro.com we celebrate the entire world of B&W.
Whether you’re a dedicated devotee of B&W photography, or simply loved B&W during a high school or college class years ago, www.bwphotopro is the place for you.
Welcome to my new Web site, a New York City-based online black-and-white photography magazine.
I love B&W photography, so I started this Web site to share my passion with everyone else who loves B&W.
My name is Eric Rudolph, and I’ve written extensively for the major photography magazines (Popular Photography, PDN, others), and was East Coast Contributing Editor of (the Folio and Maggie award-winning) American Cinematographer for many years.
I’ve been shooting B&W since I was a kid, and I print in my home darkroom. I also scan negatives (with the Epson 4490 scanner) and am learning about digital B&W printing (including inkjet systems such as Jon Cone’s Piezography, Canon’s PIXMA and Epson’s UltraChrome K3).
And every bit of my B&W work and exploration is fun and rewarding.
Join us for the fun!
We’re adding new articles and photos every week, so check in frequently.
With high-definition color images everywhere, black-and-white photography has more power and meaning then ever.
